The title says it all.
This is my first ever post on a new blog for a new website I’ve published. Pretty cool stuff!
Anyway, for my first ever post on this new blog on this new website, I just wanted to say ‘Hi’ to my fellow sweaters. That’s right, I’ve given us a label: “sweaters”. Not like the thick, woollen jumper things that you wear in winter to keep you warm (because let’s be honest, even in winter, we do just fine keeping warm without added clothing, right?). I’m going to call myself and all those blessed with excited, overactive perspiration glands – sweaters! Because that’s what we do, and why you’re reading my blog… You sweat. A lot.
But fear no more, fellow sweater. Literally, fear no more. Because this is the blog that was written by me – a fellow sweater – for you so we can embrace our sweaty selves together. (That didn’t sound right out loud at all).
There are so many kinds of advice that one could provide to someone living with hyperhidrosis (excessive sweat), but this blog will focus on 3 main areas: lifestyle tips, personal care and clothing. These are the 3 areas I’ve changed in my life to overcome that fear of sweat and live comfortably and confidently every day (especially on those Australian summer days).
I aim to keep my posts short and to-the-point to deliver you advice in a quick, efficient manner because I know how busy you are. You’ll learn a little more about me – the sweaty writer – in each of my posts and realise that there are probably a lot of similar experiences we have both gone through in life and common ways of thinking we apply in certain situations. I have learned alot about my sweaty self all my life so far and I want to share with you these learnings because you are NOT alone. There’s a 5% of the global population out there experiencing hyperhidrosis out there and how beautiful is such a condition – unlike others – is that it is not one you can physically hide!
So, let’s learn to stop trying to fight and hide it; but embrace it and work with the challenges we have been given. I hope you learn something – at least one thing – from my blog that can help you to live your life more comfortably and confidently, even if a little sweaty.
Thanks for finding my first blog!
My first blog post. Ever.
